BeautyFix August 2017 Unboxing

BeautyFix is a beauty subscription box offered from Dermstore. This was my first one and I really liked it plus it is a really great value! I still have to try a few items but I wanted to get this up while the box is still available!

Foreo Luna Play

First Impressions: This is the reason I bought this box! It was a great way to try out the Foreo Luna Device. I’m glad I did, as while I like the device, I’m not sure I would buy a bigger one. It gives a good clean, but I think my Clarisonic gives better exfoliation. But I think the Luna Play will be great to have around for travel.

Value: Retails for $39

Juice Beauty Blemish Clearing Cleanser

First Impressions: This cleanser is…fine. Doesn’t foam a lot and rinses cleanly. I’ll probably use it up, but I won’t rebuy. I could see it being stripping if you have drier skin, as it can give that kind of “squeaky clean” feeling. I’m glad I received it in the box, as it might’ve been something I’d buy on my own. It’s good in the morning, as it has a fresh clean scent that wakes you up.

Value: $22, you get the full-size cleanser!

Perricone MD Superberry Powder with Acai

First Impressions: Still need to try this! The box only contains one serving, and I keep meaning to throw the powder in a morning smoothie.

Value: $2.50

IngredientsSuper Berry Blend (typically Provides 300 Mg Of Polyphenols, Anthocyanin, Ellagic Acid, Polysaccharides, And Quinic Acid) Acai Fruit Extract, Raspberry Fruit Extract, Grape Skin Extract, Lycium (goji) Berry Extract, Bilberry Fruit Extract, Blueberry Fruit Extract, Elderberry Fruit Extract, Pomegranate Fruit Extract, Cherry Fruit Extract, Blackberry Fruit Extract, Cranberry Juice Extract 2,400 Mg, Stevia Leaf Extract 50 Mg, Lo Han Guo Extract 15 Mg

Dermablend Loose Setting Powder

First Impressions: Also need to try this! It has pretty good online reviews, and I’m interested to see how it compares to my favorite Laura Mercier powder, as this is cheaper for the same amount of powder. I was happy to get this, as loose powders work best to set my makeup with my oily skin.

Value: $4.82 (5 g/.18 oz sample)

IngredientsTalc, Methylparaben, Hydrogenated Lecithin. May Contain CI 44791, CI 77499, CI 77492/Iron Oxides, CI 77891/Titanium Dioxide

MDSolarSciences Mineral Tinted Creme SPF 30

First Impressions: I’ve used this a few times and liked it. It wasn’t tinted too dark for my fair skin and didn’t pill under makeup. However, mineral sunscreens sometimes make my skin sting and I just prefer a higher SPF than 30. So, I probably wouldn’t buy the full-size

Overall, BeautyFix is a great subscription box. You’re usually guaranteed to get two full-size products, which makes the box a great value. You can either subscribe for $25/month or just buy one box for $35. The August 2017 BeautyFix box is still available to buy here. I’m looking forward to my September box!
