Glossier Phase One Review

I just got my first Glossier order about a week ago. I ordered the Phase One Set, the Perfecting Skin Tint, Cloud Paint in Puff, and the Wowder Duo. I’ll review the makeup once I order Boy Brow as well, as I’m really looking forward to trying that. Keep reading for my review of the Milky Jelly Cleanser, Priming Moisturizer, and Birthday Balm DotCom!

Milky Jelly Cleanser

love this cleanser. I use it in the morning and as a second cleanse. It has the perfect low pH. It doesn’t really foam up, so my oily, dehydrated skin feels clean but not stripped. Personally, I like the scent. It has a fresh and natural scent to it, as the cleanser doesn’t contain fragrance. Sometimes my skin is sensitive to fragrance, so I really like this fact. As an added bonus, the packaging is great. The pump locks well, which is great for travel, and it doesn’t get gummed up with use.

I look forward to using this cleanser every morning, and I’ve been pushing away my other cleansers for this one. I’ll definitely repurchase!

Priming Moisturizer

I’ve heard pretty mixed reviews on this moisturizer, but I really liked it! I use it in the mornings when I plan to put on makeup that day. It seems to add a slightly satin finish to my skin that sits well under my sunscreen in the morning. I haven’t used it in the evening, as it’s probably not hydrating enough at night. I think my favorite part is the packaging. My least favorite part of my usual Clinique moisturizer is the pump and the jar it comes in, as a lot of the product gets stuck in the corners and I have to go through the hassle of scooping it out. The tube of the Priming Moisturizer is just really great, as it’s hygienic and easy to get the product out.

Birthday Balm DotCom

Balm DotCom is basically Vaseline/Aquaphor in a tube. But this version tastes like birthday cake, comes in a tube, and adds a little shimmer to your lips, so it’s pretty superior in my opinion! Plus it’s pretty hydrating, just like Vaseline. I plan on picking up one or two of the tinted versions to add some color to my lips when I’m in the mood.
